I had the pleasure of attending The Dream Foundation’s 10th Annual Celebration of Dreams, honoring fashion icon, Donna Karan at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara.

The night began with a silent auction featuring items like, a signed guitar from Martin Gore’s Depeche Mode to vintage Chanel jewelry. A five course dinner was served while Donna Karan showed her Spring 2012 fashion show, as well as a serenade from  Pia Toscano and Jackson Guthy. Actors Dan Akroyd and Brad Garret led an auction that included a trip to Ireland  and a private dinner with Actor Morgan Freeman to name a few.

The highlight of the night, of course, was when legend Barbara Streisand presented Donna Karan with The Founders award on behalf of the Dream Foundation. The Dream Foundation focuses on helping people  and families financially with life-limiting illnesses. Over $500,000 were raised by some very generous people for The Dream Foundation.

Other highlights of the night included a performance by Glee’s Amber Riley & Naya Rivera and a finale by Macy Gray.

Be sure to check out the video above of interviews with Donna Karan, Priscilla Presley and John Paul DeJoria (The Paul Mitchell Guy!).

*I wore a burgundy and gold brocade mini dress by Lip Service from NYC’s Trash & Vaudeville. I paired it with a lace high collared blouse, a short leather jacket (it was chilly!buuuuurrrr), black tights, and Versace heels. Faberge-style Handbag  is made by moi (tutorial is here). I was going for a Russian Romanov Royal look- think Princess Anastasia Nikolaevna meets Rock & Roll- yeah, baby! And of course, I topped it off with a bow on my head- I know, so predictable.
