Beastie Boys Book

This past Sunday night, I was thrilled to see the Beastie Boys book tour inn Hollywood, Ca at the Montalban Theater. Here are some photos from the show with anecdotes from Adam “AdRoc” Horovitz and Mike “Mike D” Diamond about during their days in NYC and LA. They shared stories that solidified their lifelong dedication to themselves, each other and the band… who knew three bad boys from NYC would make a lasting impression on hip hop/punk history! So lucky to see it all come together last night as they honored the late Adam “MCA” Yauch, who died of a rare salivary gland cancer in 2012….. Fun fact: I saw them in concert three times in concert: at Lolapalooza, With Rage Against The Machine and in Santa Barbara back in 2007. Also, sitting in the theater that night were Beck, Shepard Fairy and Jimmy Kimmel, who were all sitting a couple of rows behind me. It was a memorable night ! The show was nostalgic, uplifting, heartbreaking, intimate and candid all at the same time… forever my fave band of all time! Check out the Beastie Boys Book available here.
