Chanel Pre-Fall 2012- Curry Couture

Karl the Kaiser has never set foot in India, so he’s never seen the monkeys that steal, the harrowing poverty amongst the children and for sure the chilled monkey brains (ok, that was in Indiana Jones, but it totally could’ve been real, man!). Instead, Karl popped in  ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ , some cheezey Bollywood movie for inspiration. Or maybe he was simply fascinated by a telemarketing call from India. Whatever made him design this collection, I have to say it looks better than the any authentic sari I’ve seen. I’m loving the headpieces and am slightly surprised he didn’t put red Chanel symbols on their foreheads instead.  In any case, I would wear any of these to Kabob-and Curry.
