Designer Alessandro Michele has really revived the House of Gucci and with his second show, Michele has not only revived it, but also moved along full speed and has caught up with Italian fashion. Right now, I feel Italian fashion is slowly pushing ahead of the French. Don’t get me wrong, French fashion is always at its height, but the Italians are catching up with the revival of Moschino, Gucci and of course, Dolce & Gabbana’s recent surge of fresh creativity these past 3 seasons. It’s an exciting time to be an Italian in fashion and Gucci is proof. This just might be a ‘renaissance‘ in Italian fashion, to which I will be watching with bated breath.
