Issey Miyake- Fall 2011- Origami- Literally!

Issey Myake is famous for those pleated fabrics that dominate his collections. I always think they just forgot to iron the garment, but it’s actually on purpose. This season, the pleats were toned down and folded in an origami sort of way. Pretty innovative! The first three photos are quite literal, while the rest of the collection is a little more subtle about origami. Anywho, I can always appreciate a designer who references Q*bert! I can also always appreciate a designer who makes 3D cone boobs like in the fifth photo. Yay for Issey!
