Mugler- Fall 2011- Back in the grave….

While Thierry Mugler the designer was pumping up with Hanz and Franz,  Mugler the fashion house was recently ‘revived’ by Nicola Formichetti, aka Lady Gaga’s stylist.

I have fond memories of Thierry Mugler and his lavish shows during the ’90s. His collections were designed for that elegant, avant-guard lady who wears weird huge hats and lunches alone because she stiletto-killed her man hours earlier. I have a hot pink Thierry Mugler suit in my closet and it’s one of my faves.

I was disappointed that Nicola decided to go by the way of flimsy, ill fitting long skirts and sheer clothes that only would look good a street walker. Seriously, where is the original Thierry Mugler?
