A shoe for all seasons

With all this talk of a scorching summer ahead of us, you might think that you’re going to be spending the next few months firmly camped out in your flip flops or sandals. We’re all praying for a beautiful summer, but the British weather gods are notoriously fickle. It seems that no sacrifice is good enough for them. So, we can probably expect quite a few overcast and rainy days – regardless of what the weatherman says!

As tempting as it may be to trust your sandals, you might have to think about a few other footwear options this summer. And you know what that means? It’s time to go shoe shopping. We know, we know, it’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it!

Summer shoes 2012

As British summer time fast approaches, you’d better be prepared for every eventuality. And if that means treating yourself to a new pair of boots, then so be it – it’s just going to have to happen. As well as that, you need to think about wedges, loafers, pumps, trainers, flats and lace-ups. It just makes good sense to be prepared. You wouldn’t want to get caught out would you?

For a touch of retro charm, the new Kickers range includes some beautiful tassels, brogues and T-bars, complete with their trademark chunky heels. If you can’t bring out your playful side in the summer, then when can you?

Shoes for all occasions

Remember, shoes come in all shapes and sizes and when you lead a busy and hectic life, every role comes with its own set of shoes. There’s the sensible work shoe, the glamorous evening shoe and the relaxed and fun pumps for those lazy afternoons with friends. There’s also the ‘super-mum’ shoe for when you need to be everywhere at once without wearing them out. That’s when a good, strong trainer comes in handy. Trainers are available in all shapes and sizes but some, like Reebok footwear, manage to combine practicality with style, making them perfect for all occasions.

We’re all hoping for a glorious summer this year, and let’s face it, we’re definitely due one. But it always pays to be on the safe side. And if that means that you need to treat yourself to a few new pairs of shoes, then so be it. It’s better to be safe than sorry – even if your fingers are permanently crossed for a glorious summer.
