what I wore…

Crystal the Monkey!
don't snatch my bow!

Recently, I interviewed the cast of The Hangover 2 , so I broke out my Sailor Moon terry cloth outfit! Actually, there is no significance what so ever since the movie was shot in Bangkok, Thailand and Sailor Moon is from Japan. Anywho, the top I found in a vintage store on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles years ago. I really wanted to make it look like an ensemble that was similar to Dolce & Gabbana, so I made a skirt to match, and I used a red, white and blue ribbon around the edge. Although I was tempted to use a Four Seasons’ towel for the skirt, I bought terry cloth for super cheap at a dinky fabric store. I thought it looked close enough without making me go nuts on a sewing machine. The shoes are Marc Jacobs and they match perfectly! Above, I was lucky enough to meet Crystal the monkey from The Hangover 2. I was afraid she was going to snatch my wig (clip-on bangs)! She was very nice even though she had big teeth and there are case of monkeys chewing off human faces. Below is a photo of me at the recreated typical shrine found in Thailand. I like that the lights make me look like a doll. Actually, even animatronic. Throw me in a Bangkok Chuck E. Cheese! or Chuck E. Sleaze!

Below, is me with Tai the elephant from the Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon movie, Water for Elephant.  She was incredibly gentle and adorable. She was sniffing me a lot. I reckon it was because I had just eaten a yummy Reese’s Peanut butter cup.

And the last photo, is me in an H&M dress and Marc Jacob shoes. I was attending a symphony concert with my son. That dress is so comfy and swooshy… love it. Voila!

  1. Love your swooshy dress and your sailor moon outfit!
I am also glad that the monkey didn’t chew your face off!

  2. Excellent outfits – and impressed by hobnobbing with the stars! I just found out that a fake fringe (bangs) is called a ‘winge’ here in the UK – how is that for a bad name for a product? Yours looks really realistic, I think I may have to get one.
