Amato Haute Couture- A Breathtaking Bridal Collection

When I saw these images, I totally gasped! It was like, so perfect and gorgeous.. and  I love the themes of the circus and Japan. The Japan photo set are like a modern geisha, so beautiful! I’ve written about Amato Haute Couture before, you can read it here. Since it’s wedding season, I thought posting these gowns would inspire some of our brides-to -be. My wedding gown from almost 10 years ago was built in a similar method than Jocelyn Wildenstein’s face. Each piece was cut from another dress and put together to make one. Here’s a photo:

The corset was just a custom- plain white corset that I bedazzled with Swarvoski crystals and little white roses on the boobs. The sleeves were cut off a pouffy shoulder Salvation Army bridal dress (seriously…I inverted it with the bell at the wrist). The skirt was a mermaid silhouette that I picked up from Galeries Lafayette in France. The necklace was a vintage find at Portobello Market in London. And the white feathers in the back were plucked off an ostrich that must’ve been shivering and cursing me after. The headdress is a necklace that I reworked on my head. I used to have a rhinestone/ CZ obsession, as you can see. Anywho, my dress was like one big Frankenstein operation! But, I guess that’s the punk in me. If I had to choose, I would’ve picked the 6th photo as my dress… stunning.
