LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA: Buckle Up and Enjoy the Rides! By Emmanuel Itier

In the Spring 2020, we all were ready to celebrate the brand new opening of the ‘The LegoMovie World’ … but, the pandemic happened! Jump to one year later and finally, we were able to partake in the launch of Emmet’s immersive world of the hit movie coming to life! The most breathtaking experience is definitely ‘Emmet’s Flying Adventure Ride’. Join master builders on a triple decker flying couch (or almost!), as cutting-edge technology transports you all over the LegoMovie universe. After “surviving” this unique journey, stop by ‘Emmet’s Super Suite’ to meet your favorite characters from the film. Our little Max (9) and Rex (7) were melting upon hugging General Sweet Mayhem and Rex Dangervest – the picture we took is a testimony of this grand memory. With all these emotions rocking our tummies, we had to chill with a solid bowl of noodles at the new restaurant, ‘Everything is Ramen’. This will give you some fuel to pursue the exploration of the park. If you feel the energy growing within, why not join Lloyd and his Ninjago friends for the 10th anniversary celebration of the most famous ninjas in the world, the world of bricks that is! Beyond the ‘Lego Ninjago: The Ride’, where you send some fireballs on the army of snake creatures sent my Lord Garmadon, be sure to watch the new 4D mini Lego Ninjago movie at the stadium theatre in the park; you will feel totally emerged into the ninja spirit and ready to kick some bricks! But a summer adventure wouldn’t be complete and perfect without a big splash. The Legoland park has it all with its own waterpark. Among the several “wet’n’splashy” areas, make sure to bring your little ones to the Chima World and have them slide through ‘Cragger’ swamp, through the mouth of a crocodile! What a thrill! Don’t stop there and keep on riding on the wild wet side with the racing ship at the ‘Pirate Reef’ or surf the competition at ‘Riptide Racers’, which is located at Surfer’s cove. Finally, before you come back to the surface, swing by the ‘Lego CITY: Deep Sea Adventure’ where you will board a nearly real submarine and hunt for the many Lego treasures of the seven seas; while encountering real sharks, sting rays and many other multicolor fishes… Truly another enchanting time during your visit in this perfect family destination, all year long. After one tiring day, especially for you- the devoted parents- nothing is better than a relaxing jacuzzi dip at the Castle Lego Hotel located near the entrance of the park. This is a must stay as you get complementary breakfast family, surprise free Lego goodies and an ultra large room housing a family of 5, like ours. Then in the morning, it’s time to head home until next time, maybe for Halloween or Christmas when the land of the bricks gets into an even more joyful mood. So, buckle up and be ready to build your next adventures, one brick at a time. Ride On!
