Japanese artist Aki Inomata sure knows how to make a castle for a crab. A hermit crab that is! These ‘shells’ are made from plastic and are shaped in the form of city skylines and what not. And they’re all clear so you can see the whole damn crab. A few years ago we took care of my son’s class hermit crab pets. Their crabitat was kinda grody, so I clean it up and feng shui’d it a bit… I also added two more crabs because I thought the one crab was a lonely soul. They all died shortly, thereafter. When they die, man, they stink. Anywho, I love hermit crabs. When they come out to play, they are extra fun, especially for the cats. If I were to get a hermit crab, I would totally bedazzle the crap out it’s shell. Because, why not? Anywho, these are pretty awesome… good job, Aki.
