If you happen to be in Montreal, you should get to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts before October 2 to see the archived collections of Jean Paul Gaultier. As a huge gaultier fan, I’m kinda bummed that this exhibit probably will not be touring in the US, at least I don’t think it will. So I was delighted to see that the blog, Swallow Glitter had all these wonderful shots from the exhibit. My favorite has to be the sequined boob (also my 6 year old son’s favorite) and the handicapped mermaid in a beguiling mermaid dress. I also really love the black rhinestone ‘bones’ corset that was famously worn by Dita Von Teese at the end of one of Gaultier’s runway show. Hopefully, this exhibit will make the rounds in the US.
