It was a mash-up of Punk Rock and Origami at the Junya Watanabe’s latest runway collection. All the vibrant plaids chiseled into futuristic forms only the Japanese have perfected, it was a most perfect collection. Back in the olden days when I was a chipper teenager, I used to wear plaids in a variety of shades and combat boots. There was this one store in Providence ( and also Boston) that I used to frequent called ‘The Allston Beat’. They specialized in everything punk and goth… the storefront was lined with bored teenagers with their Walkmans doing their best Billy Idol sneer as basics in suits passed by. Anywho, those were the days! That’s all for story time today, kiddos! I have to go take my Metamucil now.
