Last month, my family and I embarked on a road trip to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, CA! It was not our first time there, but it was still exciting, especially since they added the NINJAGO wing of the theme park. We enjoyed the NINJAGO ride, which featured futuristic hand- motion captures to fling ‘ninja stars’ at various villains from the NINJAGO series. Also, they had amazing new NINJAGO statues flocked throughout the theme park. A rock climbing and spinning playground equipment rounded out the far eastern theme of the NINJAGO area. My three boys are HUGE Star Wars fans, as well, so the newly added Lego Death Star was particularly mesmerizing for them. The usual parts of the park were fun, as well, like Storyland and the Knight’s area. There was another new section added to the park, which was geared towards girls, but rang appealing to my boys and also ME!… it was the FRIENDS area, complete with a Lego horse Carousel! It was magical to say the least. If you do visit Legoland anytime soon, take advantage of their great program of unlimited photos via online… it’s one flat fee with unlimited professional photos from the entire day sent right to your inbox. It’s BRILLIANT! Also, don’t forget the Sea Center and Lego Hotel just adjacent to the park… The world of LEGO is waiting to give you an adventure of a lifetime!
