Artist Hubert Duprat supplied a bunch of Caddisfly larvae with with gold leaf and precious stones to see what they would build. Because these larvae are a bunch of lazy asses, they build things from what is lying around them. Any normal larvae would get in the station wagon and head down to Home Depot….DUH. Anywho, the gold leaf, pearls, and turquoise were all they could work with. Kinda reminds me of that segment on House of Style where they would drop your ass off at the hardware store and tell you to come up with something cool to wear. And this just proves you don’t need a degree to make art, you just need a dude like Hubert to pimp you out to do his work.
