As you may know, I have a little obsession for Russian Dolls ( Matryoshka dolls)… okay it’s HUGE!!! So, naturally I went berzerk when I saw that for the 10th Anniversary of Russian Vogue, special edition Russian Dolls were commissioned by 27 designers. Here is the list:
Celine, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Sonia Rykiel, Emilio Pucci, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Gucci, Jitrois, Konstantin Gayday, Maison Martin Margiela, Marc Jacobs, Valentin Yudashkin, Denis Simachev, Alena Akhmadullina, Moschino, Marni, Burberry, Dries van Noten, Giles, Oscar de la Renta, J. Mendel, Paul Smith, Antonio Marras, Nina Donis, Stella McCartney, Yves Saint Laurent
My fave has to be the very last one on the bottom that looks like Edna E. Mode. Believe or not, I used to have a hair cut like that with thick, black glasses. It was after ‘The Incredibles’ came out, so swarms of children would point in stare at me. I didn’t know why until months later. Anywho, I’m planning a trip to St. Petersburg this summer so I’m stoked that I will finally buy myself a real authentic Russian Doll set. I didn’t want to buy one in a trinket shop here because the dolls would lose meaning. Anyway, S DNJOM RAZHDENIJA* Russian Vogue!
*’Happy Birthday’- I learned that from a mail order bride.
HAPPY PERSIAN NEW YEAR!!

I’ve gone ahead and saved http://teacupsandcouture.com/?p=5986 at Digg so my followers can enjoy it too. I just used your title as I figured if it is good enough for you to title this post then you probably would like to see it bookmarked that way too.
