The House of Schiaparelli has been revived by Christian Lacroix (he’s focusing on theater costumes) this season and only this season, which I find fitting. Both designers are/were over-the-top carnival, sometimes busy, but always joyous. This special collection can be seen at the Pavillon de Flore of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at The Louvre in Paris. My favorites include the pink puff of pom pom on the head and the last photo of the striped gown. Someone needs to bring back Schiaparelli forever… I hear John Galliano needs a job, perhaps this is his calling?
