Thom Browne had the inspiration of a ‘Versailles Country Club’ for his latest collection. There were many balls… and well, balls. Ha ha. Seersuckered jock straps dangled from pleated skirts for men. The show was complete with pannier dress forms and a real life ballet dancer dancing in the signature striped pointe shoes. This was probably the most flamboyant Thom Browne men’s show to date. Most of the collection consisted of skirts and dresses, which begs the question…. will fashion’s future be non- gender ? Will there even be a men’s collection and women’s collection? The blurred lines of women’s and men’s attire lately will sure make that change a reality soon within the industry. Having said that, I would wear most of these!
