I stumbled upon this site by accident and it was totally meant to be!! I have been searching for vintage tea towels of Rhode Island for a couple years now. Martha Stewart had a whole article on it in her magazine. I scoured vintage stores and flea markets across the country and only found California or Hawaii tea towels. In the olden days, people would collect tea towels from the state they visited. I guess not many people vacationed to the littlest state in the union. So, when I came across Cat Studio, I went nuts. And the best part is that they are reproductions, so although it is vintage -looking, it’s not delicate enough to feel bad if something happens to it.
I bought two tea towels of Rhode Island to make a cool tote bag or to put on an A-line skirt…. haven’t decided, yet. So, I did decide! I made a tote bag!Seeeeeeeeeee….
(I was in a kung fu panda kinda mood.)
Aaaaaand the other one I kept as a towel and it’s hanging on my oven door.
I think the New England pillows and Paris tea towels are next on my list. I’m so excited!!
