For my interviews for the Russell Brand movie, ‘Arthur’, I wore a pink pastel tweed pant suit that had a Chanel- style to it. Since, my ass can’t afford a $3,000 Chanel suit, I decided to make one. I made this a few seasons ago and was inspired by the Spring 2004 ‘Fringe Fantasy’ collection. Here is an example of the sparkley flecks and unfinished edges I was going for. I know, my version is a little more punk, which makes it less middle-aged, I guess. I picked up the fringe and fabric at the garment district years ago in NYC. I paired it with a baby blue lace top from the depths of my closet, Moschino kitten heels, Chanel jewelry and a house ring by WeWear. The short vintage necklace belonged to my grandmother-in-law.
Below, is the outfit I wore to my interviews with James Franco and Danny McBride for a movie called ‘Your Highness’. I had worn this one to a gifting suite before, but I styled it a little differently this time around. First off, I wore my hair up with a hot pink rhinestone headband from Nordstrom (I have no idea who the designer is!) and bracelet and bow ring by Patricia Field’s. The unicorn necklace is from I’m Your Present and was perfect for the interviews (if you see the movie, you’ll know why!) The shoes are Forever 21, although they look like Miu Miu’s color block brogues. The knickers are a pair of satin bloomers that I dyed purple and the top is a J.Crew cashmere sweater that I customized with dear and bow buttons. The pleated shirt underneath is also Forever 21. Voila! Sorry for the poor quality of photos… anybody recommend a really good digital camera ?
