How to Kill It in 2020

Everybody has New Year Resolutions, but most of the time they aren’t kept. This year, you should do your best to keep them so you can kill it in 2020. Many people find it helpful to think of ‘resolutions’ as ‘goals’ or ‘intentions’. This gives you the space to be flexible but enough of a mindset that you hold yourself accountable with a positive and stress-free mindset.

Here are a few you ways you can kill it in 2020:

Get Healthy

When your health is at its best, you are at your best. Getting healthy is a common New Year’s resolution, which is why you’ll see gyms absolutely packed for the first couple of months of the year and then slowly reduce as people lose momentum. But let’s get healthy and stay healthy by making it a lifestyle changerather than a short term ‘I want to do this’ goal. So join a gym, or make it easy and download a workout app, like the 30 day fitness challenge app. With these apps you can workout at home! No memberships, no leaving the house and you continue on with tailored workouts with workout apps!

Start buying food from independent stores or farmers markets

As you focus on getting healthy, consider where you are purchasing your food. Start buying food from independent stores or farmers markets to support local farmers and ‘mom and pop shops’. Commercial stores have enough business and when you shop local, you reduce your carbon footprint, become more involved in your community, and improve your health.

Be more Sustainable

We can all do more to be more sustainable, and ideally it would be a priority and resolution for everyone in 2020. Imagine if every single person reduced their impact on our world just by taking a shorter shower, turning the water off when brushing their teeth, reducing food waste, and reducing if not eliminating single-use plastic. That would mean significant progress worldwide. Let’s start today and implement strategic goals depending on our current habits for 2020!

Begin to focus on you and your well-being

Let’s make 2020 the ‘Year of You’. It’s the start of a new decade, so this is a great time to consider the New Year and New Decade a fresh start for you to focus on you and your individual well-being. This way, you bring your best to all facets of life.

Aim to get a better job

Why not aim for a better job in 2020 or that promotion? Being motivated and involved at work is important and if you want to change jobs or pursue something different, decisions and action are crucial so you can make it happen to the best of your ability.

Have a closer relationship with your family and friends

Family and friends are important, and every relationship takes effort. So make it a priority this year to have a closer relationship with your family and friends. Studies also prove that the more time you spend with your family, the longer you and your loved ones live!

Move to your dream city

If you have a dream city/life that is also practical, why wait? Time passes quickly so if there is something that you want to do, there is no better time than now to make it happen. Start compiling information of what it would take to move to your dream city, post photos of it in your living space or save it is as your phone background so your motivation stays high!

All of these things are ones that you should accomplish before it’s too late! It’s all too easy to say ‘I’ll get to it next year’ and postpone these goals that we want to achieve. We have a month to prioritize and plan, so let’s make it happen and kill it in 2020.
