LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA: DEEP SEA MAGIC & OUT OF THIS WORLD JOURNEY!

This holiday season we decided to revisit the favorite destination of our kids: Legoland, California. Sure this was at least our tenth escapade to this magic brick-land but we immediately got enchanted as we arrived at the newly built: Legoland Castle. With its large family accommodations and lavish kids area with a heated pool and Jacuzzi to relax our legs from walking in the park, this is a must for the perfect vacation gateway. Next door to the castle is of course the original hotel –The Legoland Hotel- with its many themed rooms. Our kids’ favorite was the Ninjago family room with its awesome kung fu décors.

After a long drive from Santa Barbara, a good night of rest, we were ready to explore the splendors of the park with its new attraction: Lego City: Deep Sea Adventure. Located next to Castle Hill and the Dragon ride (a must for the kids!), you will dive with a real submarine into a live aquarium full of surprises and with many fishes. You will even face sharks! We all were amazed by the details to put together this ride and it gave you the real sensation you are gone in the middle of the ocean as explorers hunting for the lost city of Atlantis!

Of course, beyond this new thrill, we all re-discovered the joy of beings ninjas in the Ninjago world with its now classic ride. Then, we took one long stroll in Miniland USA and Star Wars Miniland. This has also become part of the “must do” while at Legoland. There is nothing more emotional than seeing the bright eyes of our kids looking into these mini universes and letting their imagination blast them into a journey out of this world. The world of Legoland has amazingly expanded lately. Not only are there two Legolands in the USA, one in California and one in Florida, but you can stay “home away from home” into another Legoland in Denmark (in Billund which was the original first Legoland!), or in Germany or even in Japan or Dubai. There are 8 Legoland parks around the world and the next one set to open is in New York for 2020!
