Noir Kei Ninomiya- Spring 2019- Japanese Artistry

This is Noir Kei Ninomiya’s first collection covered by Vogue.com and the resemblance to other Japanese taste makers is uncanny. Influences from Rei Kawakubo, June Wantanabe and Comme des Garçon are hard to miss in this collection. However, the way he cuts the motorcycle jackets and origami dresses is a peek into is talents as a pattern maker. Ninomya is definitely one to watch, especially with imminent changing of the guards at the old school Japanese fashion houses.
